The sequence is microchip, rabies vaccine at 12 weeks or older and after the chip, a 21-day wait, an EU animal health certificate issued by an official or authorised vet and endorsed by MOCCAE within 10 days of the entry checks, a written declaration that the pet is not being sold, entry through a designated travellers' point of entry, and no more than five animals.
