What it costs to relocate a pet from Dubai, line by line

[ quick answer · 2 september 2026 ]

Government fees are small: the MOCCAE export certificate is AED 100 and the CVRL titre is AED 750 plus VAT. Vet work, the crate and cargo make up the rest. Sourced estimates excluding an agency: roughly AED 6,000 to 16,000 for the UK, AED 2,300 to 8,700 for India, AED 6,800 to 17,000 for the USA and AED 16,000 to 32,000 for Australia, where quarantine dominates.

What is published, and what is an estimate?

Two figures are the authority’s own: MOCCAE AED 100 for up to 2 pets, CVRL AED 750 excluding VAT per titre sample. Everything else on this site is an estimate of typical Dubai clinic, crate and carrier prices and is labelled as such. Australia’s permit and quarantine fees are published on the DAFF fee schedule and change; check them before you budget.

Where does the money go?

Microchip and vaccination AED 300 to 650. Titre AED 790 where required. Destination tests and treatments AED 200 to 2,000 (Australia at the top). Certificates and endorsements AED 400 to 1,000. Crate AED 400 to 1,500. Cargo AED 1,500 to 14,000 depending on route and size. Australia quarantine AED 4,500 to 9,000. Agency coordination, if used, AED 4,000 to 15,000.

Is it cheaper to do it myself?

On fees, yes: the government and lab fees are the same whoever files them. What an agency charges for is knowing the order and doing the running. The Plan gives you the order; Assured adds a check on the paperwork; Handoff pays a partner to do the running.
